Procedures For Sending Child Support Payments To Switzerland – Updated The purpose of this letter is to provide the local child support agencies (LCSAs) with updated payment processing instructions for Switzerland. It also replaces EBLAST 13-11, dated September 4, 2013 in which the LCSAs were instructed to make all disbursements payable to the custodial party (CP) but mailed to the Switzerland Federal Office of Justice, Central Authority for International Maintenance Matters.

Australia's Child Support Secure Email System The purpose of this notice is to inform you of the secure email system used by the Australian child support program. The Australian Department of Human Services has advised that communications via email involving sensitive information will only be sent through its secure server. Employees from the local child support agencies (LCSAs) wishing to use the system must register and create an account.

Procedures for Sending Child Support Payments to Switzerland The Federal Office of Justice, Central Authority for International Maintenance Matters in Switzerland has informed the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) that all disbursements are to be made payable to the custodial party (CP) and sent to their office at the address provided in this letter.

New Currency Conversion Provisions In British Columbia, Canada The federal Office of Child Support Enforcement has informed the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) of new legislation/provision passed in British Columbia, Canada, allowing the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program (FMEP) to adjust the exchange rate on orders annually to bring the Canadian dollar amount up to date. The new provision applies to orders made in a foreign currency only (Summary – New Currency Conversion Provision in British Columbia).

UPDATED - Addresses and Procedures for Working Cases with Manitoba Canada The federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) informed the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) of an update to Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) 13-02. Consequently, DCSS is sending this update to DCSS EBLAST 13-04, issued on February 7, 2013. The address for the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP) in Manitoba, Canada has been updated.

Procedures For Sending Child Support Payments Ireland The purpose of this letter is to provide instructions for sending child support payments to Ireland. The Central Authority for Maintenance Recovery in Ireland has informed the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) that all child support payments must be made payable to the custodial party (CP) and sent “in care of” their office.

Addresses And Procedures For Working Cases With Manitoba, Canada This is to inform you that the federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) has issued Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) 13-02, dated January 3, 2013, to clarify the addresses and procedures to use when submitting intergovernmental cases and child support payments to Manitoba, Canada. 11.02.2011   Clarification of Local Child Support Agency Designee List The purpose of this letter is to provide clarification to the previous Eblast Letter: Local Child Support Agency (LCSA) Designee List, dated July 22, 2011. The Franchise Tax Board (FTB) has clarified their request for the Designee list. The Designee List is a compilation of the LCSA Authorized Representatives (i.e. Director, Asst. 05.24.2007   CSSIN 07-03 DCSS Case Management Policy has been receiving inquiries about the Errata to the Alternative Process for the Presumed Income Minimum Wage letter CSSIN 07-03. The alternative process and errata no longer apply because Change Request CR-2-01136 Guideline Calculator – Minimum Wage has been implemented. LCSAs may now check the Presumed Income box on the Monthly Income Detail page, and the drop-down box for minimum wage includes the current minimum wage plus other choices. Whether the Summons & Complaint/Proposed Judgment is automatic or user-generated, the presumed income box on the Proposed Judgment will be checked and the correct monthly income and child support amounts will be calculated.
